A 900 year old church which has the oldest working church tower clock in the country. It is possible to climb the tower to view the clock works and for magnificent views of the town and Romney Marsh. Stained glass windows include 2 donated by E.F. Benson and 1 designed by Burne-Jones. St Mary's is open every day except for Christmas Day from 9.15am - 4.30pm (winter)or 5.30pm (summer). The church visitor centre sells an excellent range of souvenirs, prayer cards, Christian greetings cards, books, Christmas Cribs, etc.
